Society Chapter Spotlight: The University of Texas at El Paso
The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Society chapter actively encourages its members to be leaders who will make a better tomorrow by participating in collaborative events and giving back to the El Paso community.
On Saturday, March 4th, the Society chapter at UTEP held a service event called Project Move. Chapter members helped the El Paso Leadership Academy (EPLA) build raised garden beds in its urban garden, set up the cafeteria area, landscape and clean the Eucalyptus Room, and organize the physical education room. In addition, UTEP chapter members heard a presentation from the Co-Founder/CEO of EPLA, Omar Yanar, on EPLA’s mission and goals for its student body. UTEP Society members were also able to work alongside currently enrolled students at the academy and hear first-hand accounts about their experiences.

Congratulations to the Society chapter at The University of Texas at El Paso for effectively executing this service event and doing your part in making a better world.
