Did you succeed in achieving your action steps since the last meeting? If yes, please state which action steps you were able to complete. If no, please explain the challenges that you experienced. (If first meeting, write ‘first meeting’ here.):
Since the last meeting, I've made significant progress on completing the action steps. Here's what I've accomplished: Completed the research report on market trends in our industry. Submitted the proposal for the new project to the client. Conducted meetings with the team to discuss the project timeline and allocation of tasks.
Please state your goal using the SMART Method: Specific: Avoid generalities! Your goal should have specific details so you know what you are achieving. Measurable: Make sure you have solid criteria for establishing your progress toward your goal. Actionable: You can clearly define action steps towards your goal Rewarding: Your goal must be something that is meaningful and worthwhile. Time Specific: Having specific dates for beginning and finishing goals keeps you on track. Example: “My goal is to receive a Sports Internship by May 1st”:
Specific: Complete the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification and establish my own accounting and tax practice by 2026. Measurable: Progress can be measured by completing the required CPA exams, obtaining the necessary licensure, and establishing the accounting and tax practice by the specified date. Actionable: Action steps may include enrolling in CPA exam preparation courses, dedicating specific study hours each week, networking with professionals in the accounting and tax field, gaining relevant work experience, obtaining necessary licenses and permits for starting a business, developing a business plan, and securing funding if required. Rewarding: Achieving CPA certification and opening your own accounting and tax practice would provide fulfillment, autonomy, potential for increased income, and the opportunity to serve clients and make a positive impact in their financial lives. Time Specific: The goal sets a clear deadline of 2026 for completing the CPA certification and establishing the accounting and tax practice, providing a specific timeframe to work towards and stay focused on achieving the goal.
Please list the action steps you will take to achieve your goals stated above. These are action steps that will be completed by next meeting. Example: “1. Finish my resume. 2. Talk with my advisor. 3. Submit a sports internship application at two institutions.”:
Enroll in a CPA exam preparation course or program. Create a study schedule to dedicate regular time for studying for the CPA exams. Begin studying for the CPA exams, starting with the section you feel most prepared for. Research and gather information about the requirements for obtaining CPA licensure in your state or region. Reach out to professionals in the accounting and tax field for guidance and mentorship. Gain relevant work experience through internships or entry-level positions in accounting or tax firms. Develop a business plan outlining your vision, target market, services offered, and financial projections for your accounting and tax practice. Research the legal and regulatory requirements for starting a business in your area, including licenses, permits, and tax registrations. Start networking with potential clients, colleagues, and industry professionals to build relationships and generate leads for your future practice. Begin saving or seeking funding sources to finance the startup costs of your accounting and tax practice.
