1. What were the main points of this speaker's presentation?

Play the infinite game (the 5 steps) –
1) Have a Just Cause
2) Have courageous leadership
3) Have a venerable team (the team feels safe to be honest and without fear of retribution)
4) A worthy advisory (respect your competition). Completion changes in the infinite game. Competition is there to make you better. The true competitor is myself.
5) Have an open play book. Be flexible. Be willing to pivot.

2. How will you apply this information in your life?

Be willing to take a step back, assess and plan. What is it that I really want and identify the people I want with me that I feel could help me (and us) get there and I trust. I say could help me get there because their goals may change over time too. I also need to allow myself to be vulnerable and allow for changes when someone else has a better plan.

3. What did you find most interesting about this speaker?

I love Simon’s ability to break down a situation (Seal Team 6, Hospital Worker) so that you can see the picture.
He wants the Why process to be introduced into high school and university and I love this because I believe that we would be able to find success sooner or at least be happier about the process.

4. If you could talk to the speaker, what would you say/ask?

How can I get back to basics and revamp to be the leader I wish I had. It sounds simple but its not.

5. Would you recommend this speaker to other students? Why or why not?

Yes, Simon is a ninja with helping you help yourself to find your Why.
