1. What were the main points of this speaker's presentation?

You need the combination of motivation and fun to make a business successful.
Passion for career is not as important as those two previous things.
The art of perception equals success. Sometimes telling larger than truth facts become reality.
Two kinds of people: expanders and containers. You need both to succeed.
When you take a hit do not feel sorry for yourself. Get over rejection.

2. How will you apply this information in your life?

This is a common theme but when taking a hit do not let it get you down. Get past failure and over rejection. This is the hardest thing for me: probably why I focus on this concept.

3. What did you find most interesting about this speaker?

I found Barbara to be the most entertaining speaker so far. She weaved life events into the story of success effortlessly. She gave her secrets of success to us while spellbinding us with her life story. Easy to remember so many more of the important facts she was giving to us. I also liked her opinion on the value of trust when, not only doing business but in life as well.

4. If you could talk to the speaker, what would you say/ask?

Again: How can I move on from rejection to turn it into a positive event and build upon it to become a success?

5. Would you recommend this speaker to other students? Why or why not?

This was my favorite speaker so far. We share similar backgrounds. But she was more confident than I and because we have similar backgrounds I cannot figure out how we view success so differently. I want her confidence and "bounce back" skills.I also connected on her habit of self talking to put herself down. She just has figured out a way to pull herself back out of it.
