1. What were the main points of this speaker's presentation?

1. Find your bliss, and follow your bliss
2. Create your own opportunities - change the way people see you
3. Don't allow yourself to become immune to sadness -
4. Don't let fear paralyze you. Life for humans is better then it has ever been. It might not seem like that because of what we are going through as a country and in the world, but we see it more now that in the past due to technology upgrades and there is so much more access than in years past.
5. Don't dwell on things that separate us but bond over things that bring us together

2. How will you apply this information in your life?

What a powerful speech. During the MBA program at Berkeley College I began to invest myself in to politics and globalization. Trying to connect what we learn in class to what is going on in the real world. Listening and watching Anderson Cooper talk about topics relevant to many topics we covered in classes shows me that I am doing the right thing. I am going to keep on reading and learning about the problems in our country so I can contribute. This is one way to create my own opportunity. I have felt for years that my employer only sees me as one specific type of person because all they know about me is what I do now and perhaps not what I CAN do.

3. What did you find most interesting about this speaker?

I know that it is his job, but to see his passion about the topics proposed to him in the question/answer portion of his speech. His knowledge on all different types of subjects relating to our nation is inspiring.

4. If you could talk to the speaker, what would you say/ask?

Do you think that Donald Trump's Presidency is setting the country back decades by his words and actions?
I would love to hear his honest opinion because I respect him as a journalist and as a knowledgeable human.

5. Would you recommend this speaker to other students? Why or why not?

I think Anderson Cooper is a wonderful speaker, he not only gives good advice to students on finding their bliss, but his knowledge and his experiences are inspiring. Knowing his upbringing, he could have done nothing with his life, but he chose to work hard, go to school, and find his bliss. It is even more inspiring that he is where he is in life due to his hard work and not that he used his name and his mother's fame to become successful.
