1. What were the main points of this speaker's presentation?

He is a firm believer that things happen for a reason, which is what I believe too. Thaddeus always believed that he was a bad kid and that he always believed that because people always told him that. He goes to say that there are not bad kids. It is a state of mind and that you choose how you act based on what people tell you. He was told at 12 years old that he was loved and that they believed in him. He moved on to become a leader and a mentor.
He has three rules in his home: 1. Love and respect everyone you come in contact with. 2. Never use the word "can't" 3. Be your best!

2. How will you apply this information in your life?

Thaddeus has many points that I do and has applied to my life. Not really knowing where to start as far as being motivated and positive, the three rules in his home is where I would start and apply to my life. The number one rule I think will be the hardest for me because I grew up believing that love and respect should be earned on both sides.

3. What did you find most interesting about this speaker?

What I found most interesting about this speaker is that he has a can-do attitude and states that It is never too late to start anything. Also that his motivation stems from the fact that he believed that he was not supposed to be here in the world because of him being a product of his mother being raped at 11 years old. He lives every day with a purpose.

4. If you could talk to the speaker, what would you say/ask?

I would ask him what he does when you love and respect everyone you come in contact with but they do not reciprocate? I would find it hard to feel that way about someone that I came in contact with if they did not at least show me respect. I know respect should be earned, at least that is how I feel.

5. Would you recommend this speaker to other students? Why or why not?

I would recommend this speaker to other students. He is very positive even though he had a rough upbringing. Most people would have given up in his situation but with a positive mentor and surrounded himself with people that loved him and believed in him, he became successful. A great leader to follow for anyone that thinks about giving up
