Congratulations to “Dream Support Grant” recipient Matt Borowicz, from the Society chapter at University of Minnesota, Crookston.
As an undergrad from 2012-2015, Matt Borowicz was an active member of the University of Minnesota, Crookston Society chapter who double-majored in Health Sciences and Biology. Now, as a “Dream Support Grant” recipient, Matt is finishing up his first year as a dental student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Today we are happy to share with you Matt’s journey and progress toward fulfilling his dream.

Getting into dental school had been a dream of mine for many years, and the feeling that I experienced when I finally received my acceptance letter from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) was indescribable. As great as that feeling was, the anticipation and excitement leading up to beginning the program easily doubled it.
The First Day of Class
During the first few weeks of school, one of the biggest hurdles I had to overcome was adjusting to the amount of work that was required of me in such a short period of time. Fortunately, my work ethic and time management skills, which I learned as a member of the Society, allowed me to successfully handle a schedule that was more difficult than any that I had previously experienced.
So far, my dream of attending dental school has lived up to all of my expectations. I’ve made great friends, been successful in my studies, and I’m having a blast while pursuing my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. These experiences would not have been possible without the skills that I had learned as a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success.
